First one should understand that we are seeing Mormons being investigated by Mormons. They are a deviant cult that probably has in some way instigated the husband to make his wife disappear. Until a non-mormon agency assumes control of the investigation, one that we know won’t take part in a coverup by the cokamamie Mormon church, the case will never be solved. BTW, who knows that theri God is no where near the God of the Bible? I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out that she took off to get away from her demented husband. I hope so, at lat she would be alive.
Your statement about the involvement of the Mormon church is totally ridiculous and unsubstantiated. No agency involved in the case has been a “Mormon agency,” and the church has not had any involvement in the case. The fact that the Powells and the Coxes are Mormon is a detail. This could have happened to any couple of any religion. Josh Powell has chosen to use Mormonism to frame the case and draw attention away from himself. His actions appear paranoid and desperate. The Mormon community, in addition to good people of all faiths around the world, have helped console the Coxes and Powells and have been a great support in helping spread the word about finding Susan. As a Mormon and a friend of the Cox family, I am hurt by your careless claims. Susan and her family deserve so much better than stereotypical theories about cults and a power-hungry heartless church. The Mormon church is the very definition of heart, of compassion, of Christ.
